Overview of Evidence-Based Validation of Herbal Medicine Pdf FreeAccording to Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee the tremendous growth of herbal medicines around the world has been one of the most exciting aspects of healthcare. The best way to harmonize the different facets of herbal medicine development, including its quality, safety, efficacy, validation and regulation, is through international coordination.
The intention of this book is to describe and evaluate various approaches for evidence-based validation of herbal medicine, which has been described in different chapters of this edited volume by eminent scientists and technologists from different countries. I would like to express my gratitude to all of them for their valuable contributions.
Herbal medicines attract the interest of patients and scientists, in all aspects of drug development from natural products and also for the validation of traditional medicine (TM). MT is relied on by a number of developing countries due to its accessibility and affordability, and medicinal plants are considered by scientists around the world to be a source of new chemical entities and are used to isolate compounds such as digoxin, morphine, taxol, atropine and vinblastine.
Key features:• It includes state-of-the-art methods to detect, isolate, and elucidate structures using spectroscopic and degradation techniques.
• Covers biosynthesis, synthesis, and biological activity related to natural products.
• Consolidate information to save research time and money
• Increases confidence levels in the quality and validity of natural products
